The BMI Lending Library

Library Opening Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9.30 to 12p.m. Saturday. Check with library for 3.30 PM early closing days.

A box is provided in the foyer for book drop-offs after hours. It is only accessible if the front doors are open.

Lending library books may be reserved by contacting the library desk, but always check whether your choice is still available.

Books from the heritage collection can be read in the reading room by members but prior notice is required. Not all books are in suitable condition for public use, so select a substitute if possible. The friendly heritage room volunteers will always assist you.

Students doing research are encouraged to use the heritage reading room. If your studies are on-going, provision can be made for extra services, such as copying, photographing, scanning or OCR requests.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the library. Ask the librarian for access codes.

Donations of books that may enhance the lending library or the heritage collection are always welcome. They are firstly evaluated, and you are then advised as to whether they are accepted.

Volunteers are always welcome to assist with library duties or computer archiving and database updates. People with computer skills, data entry and particularly computer programming or graphic design, are welcome, as well as librarians with technical library knowledge.
